¶ Overview
New Chat Regulations
As a result of updated Roblox chat regulations, players may be restricted from chatting with users outside their age group
The Messenger application allows players to communicate with each other either privately, or in groups. Players can create a new chat to:
- start a single chat with one player
- create a group chat with up to 15 players
There is a 30 second cooldown between each chat creation.
¶ Group Chats
In group chats, the chat owner has access to a variety of options, including:
- changing the group name
- adding and removing members
- deleting the chat
All major actions are announced in the chat, and are visible to all participants. Only the player who created the chat has the ability to make these modifications to the group.
Whenever a message is sent in any chat, all members will receive a notification in the bottom right corner of their screens, however this can be toggled on or off in the phone settings.
¶ Attachments
Players can send attachments to any chat. Currently, these are the only supported attachments:
- Location Sharing
Shared locations allow other players to navigate to a player's position
There is a 60 second cooldown between each location share.
