New Chat Regulations
As a result of updated Roblox chat regulations, players may be restricted from chatting with users outside their age group
If you get this error via the messenger application:
- "The selected player cannot chat with you"
It means there are issues with either your settings, or the other player's settings. There are a few reasons why this error appears:
- the other player has blocked you
- you, or the other player have direct chat disabled in Roblox settings
In order to resolve this, do the following:
- Visit your Experience Chat settings on Roblox
- Set Experience Chat and Direct Chat to 'everyone'
If you continue to have issues, we advise you to contact Roblox support.
