It was originally introduced in the Version 3.11.0 Update in July 2025.
¶ Mechanics
Once thrown, the flashbang automatically detonates after 2 seconds, temporarily impairing the vision of players within its radius.
Affected players experience a white screen effect lasting 3 seconds, which gradually fades as their vision returns to normal.
The flash effect can be changed from white to dark in the accessibility settings.
